Qualifications
1. Clubs must be affiliated to Dorset Golf.
2. A drawn knockout format with a team consisting of three players.
3. Each Club may only enter one team.
4. Entry to be submitted by Clubs who will pay the entry fee.
Terms of Play
5. All matches are played over 18 holes matchplay off scratch. Matches will be played in any order to a conclusion (no tied matches). When a team has secured two wins the third match may be abandoned and a half recorded for results purposes only.
6. It is the responsibility of both clubs to ensure matches are played within the time allocated. The Home Club must offer the away club a minimum of 4 dates to include both weekend and weekday dates, with no more than 2 in any seven-day period. No extensions will be allowed. If teams are unable to agree a date the Operations Director will impose one.
7. If the Home course is unplayable on the agreed date another date must be rearranged (see above).
8. Courtesy of the course for the visiting club on the day of the match must be offered.
9. The competition is drawn, no seeding and published, any byes are balanced within the draw. The top Club is the Home Club.
10. The Semi Final and Finals will be played at neutral courses determined by the Operations Director. Players may be substituted. Finalists are not required to have played in any previous rounds.
11. Any disputes should be referred to the T&C Committee whose decision is final.
Order of Play
12. If any members of the team fail to appear on the day of a match, the opposing team will be awarded a walkover for any individual game not played. Captains are therefore advised to take reserves. If a reserve has to be substituted for an absent player, it must be done before lists have been exchanged. (Provided both Team Captains agree, once team sheets have been exchanged, the playing order of games may be changed.)
13. The Home Club should submit the match result duly agreed by both Team Captains to the Operations Director on the day of the match. Any query concerning any aspect of the match must be referred to the Operations Director before the match result is submitted.
14. Following completion of 1st round & subsequent rounds, there will be a coin toss to determine home/away team.
Prizes
15. The winning club shall receive the Humphreys Bowl; the losing finalists shall receive the Humphreys Runners Up Trophy immediately after the result has been announced.
